Tenets
Circle K recognizes three tenets: service, leadership, and fellowship. These three tenets are the core of CKI, and its values are carried out by each of its members. CKI is centered around service. More than 1 million hours of volunteer work is performed by Circle K members each year in their communities. Leadership is important to CKI because it allows members to positively influence the society by making decisions and sharing ideas with others. Members are encouraged to seek chances to hold responsibilities in order to gain the skills and resources needed to become an effective citizen. Opportunities for leadership are available at the Club, District, and International levels. Fellowship is developed through CKI events and interactions with other members, advisors, and Kiwanians. With each relationship developed, Circle K members are strengthening the bond between themselves and other individuals and creating personal connections with people in their community.
